I've been a blog reader for some time now, a blog stalker if you will, and I finally decided to take the plunge and start writing myself after reading endless inspiring design posts from bloggers. I loved finding a whole blog world where people who love design as much as I do are speaking my language!
My journey through interior design school has been tough but very rewarding. I decided to make the career change from social work to interior design three years ago. I was just feeling unfulfilled and I knew that was the right time to make a change-while I was still young, engaged but not yet married and still a lot of time ahead of me for a great career. Since then, I have married, bought my first house, graduated and now am ready to begin my life as a designer. I have high hopes to be able to work independently as a designer someday and this blog will be an account of that process and its ups and downs along the way.
Wish me luck!

Congrats on the new blog and the decision to start your own company! I also got into interior design after a career change and have started my own interior design firm. There have been many ups and downs, but I love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies! I love both your blogs! I'm so excited to get this blog going finally!
ReplyDeleteCamila-We'll have to swap tips sometime! I've been following how you've been doing for awhile and I always look forward to your posts!
Just found your blog thru Camilla. Congrats to your new venture. I am inspired by those who decide to take risks and make the leap to what makes them happy. I'm a nurse, SAHM now and while I was in school always gravitatd to design I wish I took that risk.
