I've got the 5 month blogger itch

I just read an article that talks about the 6 month blogger Itch.  And now I know what it is that I am going through. Well, it has been 5 months since I started this blog and as much fun as it has been, I have been dragging the last couple of weeks.  Sometimes it is tough to come up with new content everyday.  Especially when I am reading many of the same things on other design blogs.  I need to pick up my slack a little bit, find some inspiration and keep blogging!  Because I really love doing it and I want to be able to help and inspire my readers on a daily basis by showing them lovely design, talking about why it works and ways that they can achieve the same look in their own home.  Sometimes it is hard as a blogger when you don't receive feedback via your comments section.  Bloggers want to know that their readers enjoy what they are writing and I am no exception!

So, all you peeps out there reading this blog, please take a moment and write me a little comment if you guys enjoy what you're reading!  I'd love to hear your feedback and thoughts about what you would like to see more of on this blog, how I can help you achieve your design goals in your home and I'd really like to know more about you, the reader.  I really do appreciate all of you that are reading my blog and I know you are there because I can see my stats!  So please introduce yourself and let me know you're there so I am motivated to keep going!  Thanks, everybody!  ;)

Oh and stay tuned because I am working on adding design services to this blog soon as well as a link to my website and portfolio!

Have a wonderful day!

  1. Hi, I'm a relative newcomer to your blog. I'm really enjoying everything I see!

  2. Hey Katie,

It's Amy - one of the Fry Street girls. I've enjoyed hopping on your blog from Angel's and seeing what you post. I like when you do the little what's your style quizes on different websites, I usually go on over to them to see about me. Also, when you re-did those kitchen chairs it made me realize that it's doable to do yourself. We've tossed around the ideas of changing ours up now too... but I'm still working on thinking it'll turn out ;-). I also like your notes on paint, lighting, and what you can do with space you already have.

p.s. kudos on the write-up that was done on you.

Looking forward to what else makes its way on here~

  3. I love your blog! I know it's hard when you don't get more feedback via comments... but I LOVE the eye candy you post and I always appreciate hearing your design perspective!! Count me in as a fan of yours! :)

  4. Hi Amy! Thanks for reading! I think you should go ahead and do the chairs! You can do it! Let me know if you have any questions!

  5. Hi Kelly!
